PhotoHunt
Not only was there a big banner but each riser of the steps into the Institute were covered with a metal image, reproduced from a photo of one of the artifacts and greatly enlarged, which made a truly impressive advertisement for the exhibit which was one of the finest I have ever had the privilege to see.

I was a bit stumped for this week’s theme and I’m sure you all will have some wonderful photos which will make me say, why didn’t I think of that? But I’m afraid this is all I could come up with when pressed.
This certainly is a huge advertising banner, inviting you to come right in to the King Tut Exhibit at the Franklin Institute in Philadelphia, which I visited almost two years ago. Click for a better view.

I think this is a great idea for the theme JMB. I started to look through my archives for the banners that advertise temporary exhibits at the NC museum of art but wasn't sure when I took them so I decided it would be easier to take shots this week. Happy Weekend!

That's not subtle advertising is it? How nice to have the steps covered like that. Did the ads pull you in?

Wow that's a great advert for the exhibition. I didn't go to the exhibition when it was in London but I remember the one at the British Museum in the 70s.. Wonderful!

Very nice, JMB. I think this Photo Hunt theme challenges us to be creative even while we could go for the obvious — and you've definitely risen to the challenge.

love it, such a great catch!

I can't help noticing how beautiful the steps are
At least visitors will have a pretty clear idea what you're be expecting inside there!
Happy weekend JMB!

Perfect choice for the theme – although I admit to always thinking of the legendary Mrs Grundy each time I hear the words "King Tut"

Wonderful work of art on the steps, by someone. Great pictures too. I think it will pass with honours as an excellent theme.

Would love to see that! Great take on the theme. Those steps are definitely eye-catching.

Oh my goodness! I think you did a top job in showing this advertisement! See, some us in other parts of the world, may NEVER get to see that exhibit, so I really appreciated seeing the steps! WOW, that is one large banner! Thanks for visiting my hunt! I always appreciate your visits dear!

When 'visiting' Germany Tutankhamun and I were 33 years younger.
That was a fascinating experience.

Lovely work. We had a lower key exhibition here in Adelaide. Still interesting however.

The steps were a great draw I bet.
Tutankhamun was originally known as Tutankhaten but changed his name after a religious counter revolution.
I think Aean missed a point. Tutankhamun, like another famous name changer Marilyn Monroe, AKA Norma Jeane Mortenson AKA Norma Jeane Baker, or James Byron Dean, will never grow old.
That brings to mind we the same goes for far too many who stormed the beaches of Normandy on 'D' day.

Love that on the steps.

It would be cool to visit this King Tut exhibition. I hope they come to Singapore or else I'll have to fly to USA.

That is a great form of advertising. I'm fascinated with the steps. They did a remarkable job.
Sorry for the late visit. Enjoy the rest of the week jmb. Take care.
